Alamarte creates and maintains Spanish translations for Joomla extensions, with particular attention to linguistic accuracy, Joomla terminology and the technical consistency of language packages.

The goal is not simply to translate individual strings, but to provide Spanish-speaking users with an interface that is clear, natural and consistent with Joomla and with the terminology used by each extension.

Depending on the extension and its distribution structure, the localization process may include:

• Translation from the official en-GB language files into es-ES.
• Review of terminology according to the official Joomla interface and conventions.
• Adaptation of plurals, grammatical structures and expressions that require a different construction in Spanish.
• Consistency between administrator and site language strings.
• Review of language keys, duplicated strings, missing strings and obsolete entries.
• Review of the language package structure and installation manifest when applicable.
• Maintenance and adaptation of translations when new versions of the extension are released.
