Provide easy access to privacy information

Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro allows you to include access to the site's privacy policy directly from the consent notice. This gives visitors the opportunity to review additional information before making a decision about their preferences.

The privacy policy must already exist before you link to it.

Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro does not create the content of your privacy policy. Its purpose is to provide access to a page, article or address that you have previously prepared for your site.

Select the destination

Configure the destination that should open when the visitor selects the privacy link from the notice.

Use the option that corresponds to the way the privacy policy is published on your site.

Menu item

If the privacy policy has its own Joomla! menu item, you can use it as the destination.

This option allows you to use the navigation and routes generated by Joomla! for that page.

Article

You can also use a Joomla! article containing the privacy policy directly.

Check that the article is published and can be accessed by site visitors.

Custom URL

If the privacy policy is located elsewhere, you can use a custom URL as the destination.

Check that the address is correct and remains publicly accessible.

Multilingual sites

On a multilingual site, check that visitors can access the privacy policy corresponding to the language they are currently using.

Review Joomla! associations and routes when using different articles or menu items for each language.

Check the link

After saving the configuration, open the notice on the public part of the site and select the privacy link.

Check that the destination opens correctly and that the visitor can return to the consent process without difficulty.

Important: Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro provides the tools to display the notice and link to the corresponding information, but the content of the privacy policy and its legal suitability for the site remain the responsibility of the site administrator.
