How consent works
How the visitor's decision is applied
Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro allows visitors to accept, reject or customise the use of optional categories. The saved decision determines which content and services may be activated while browsing the site.
The Necessary, Analytics, Marketing and Preferences categories allow services to be separated according to their purpose. Content associated with optional categories can remain blocked until the visitor gives the corresponding consent.
Accept
When the visitor accepts consent, Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro records the selection and allows the corresponding optional categories.
Content, scripts or services configured for those categories can then load according to the site's configuration.
Reject
If the visitor rejects consent, the optional categories remain disabled.
Content protected by those categories should not load unless consent is granted later.
Customise preferences
The visitor can choose individually which optional categories they want to allow.
This makes it possible, for example, to accept one category while keeping others disabled instead of applying a single decision to every service.
Necessary category
The Necessary category is intended for functions that are essential for the operation of the site and does not depend on authorisation of the optional categories.
It should not be used for services that require prior consent.
Blocked content
Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro can prevent certain scripts, iframes and other external content from loading before the required consent has been obtained.
Each blocked item should be associated with the category that corresponds to its purpose.
Changing the decision later
The visitor can reopen consent management using the Cookie settings control and change the saved preferences.
From that point, Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro applies the authorised categories according to the new selection.
Consent duration: the visitor's decision is retained for the period configured in Alamarte Cookie Consent Pro. When consent needs to be requested again, the notice can be displayed again.
